Crystal of the Day: Carnelian
I choose the crystal of the day based on the day’s energy and associated color. Magical properties of carnelian include protection, peace, healing, courage, and sexual energy.
Carnelian is worn by the shy and timid to bolster courage. It’s also worn to stimulate sexual impulses.
Incense of the Day: Bayberry
Magical properties of bayberry include abundance, prosperity, blessings, wealth, good fortune, and protection.
It’s particularly effective in drawing money into your life, and can be carried or worn in a sachet for good luck with money and in games of chance.
Moon of the Day: Waxing Capricorn
The month – and year – finishes with the new moon in Capricorn, setting the stage for all your new years’ resolutions once again!
The waxing moon (the time from the new moon til the full moon) is an ideal time for magic to draw things towards you.
Moon in Capricorn develops strong structure. Focus on traditions, responsibilities, and obligations. A good time to set boundaries and rules.
Magic of the Day: Attraction Spell
Today’s energy supports attracting both passionate love and money into your life. This simple, all-purpose spell works for either – or both!
Supplies:
- Red candle (for love) or green candle (for money)
- Bayberry incense or other incense that aligns with your desires
Instructions:
- Light a red candle (for love) or a green candle (for money). Take a moment to clear your mind and focus on your desire while gazing at the candle flame.
- Light bayberry incense if you have it, or another incense that aligns with your desires (rose for love, cinnamon to increase lust, cedar for money, etc).
- Sit before the candle and incense. Close your eyes and visualize clearly what you want to attract. See yourself already having your desire. Feel as though it has already manifested.
- Say words that affirm your desire. Use two or three simple statements, such as:
“I am loved. My lover desires me,” or “Money comes easily to me. I have $xxx in my bank account.” - Hold the picture in your mind (and feeling in your heart) as long as possible.
- Once you are ready, release the energy to the universe, and know that your desire is already yours. Thank the universe or your patron Gods/Goddesses for their assistance.
- Allow the incense to burn out and the candle to burn down completely. You may choose to ground yourself in your usual manner after the spell is done.
You can repeat this spell daily during the waxing moon, or until your desire is yours. You may also choose to use charged crystals, anoint your candles with corresponding oils, or use any other tools you like to increase focus and lend energy to your spell.
