Brown agate is a projective stone ruled by the planet Mercury and associated with the element fire. Magical properties of brown agate include victory, success, protection, and wealth.

Once worn by warriors to ensure victory in battle, brown agate can be worn or carried today for success in any undertaking. Other uses for the stone include protection – particularly against the evil eye – and attracting wealth.

Incense of the Day: Lavender

Lavender is a masculine herb ruled by the planet Mercury and associated with the element air. Magical properties of lavender include love, protection, sleep, chastity, longevity, purification, happiness, and peace.

Use lavender in love spells and sachets, in healing and purification mixtures, to promote longevity, to increase happiness and reduce depression, and in dream pillows and sachets. When burned as an incense, lavender promotes peaceful sleep and rest.
