Saturday is ruled by Saturn. Magical properties include longevity, exorcism, endings, grounding, protection, centering, purification, luck, homes and houses.

It’s a good day to work on personal goals, long-term planning, overcoming obstacles, and spiritual growth through self-discipline. Perform protection and purification magic, spells to bring good luck, grounding activities, and spend time working on your home.

Color of the Day: Indigo

Indigo is associated with Saturn, the day’s ruling planet. Magical properties of the color indigo include will, spirit, psychic energy, inspiration, intuition, tranquility, mystery, knowledge, and spirituality.

Indigo is a deep, rich color (and natural pigment) that sits between blue and violet on the color wheel. It’s a vivid but calming color also related to qualities of dignity, idealism, justice, wisdom, and service to humanity.

Crystal of the Day: Obsidian

Obsidian is a projective stone ruled by the planet Saturn and associated with the element fire. Magical properties of obsidian include protection, grounding, divination, and peace.

A naturally occurring form of glass, obsidian is lava that cooled so quickly the minerals within it didn’t have time to form. Use obsidian for grounding and centering, divination, protective rituals, and scrying. For some, obsidian allows easier access to the subconscious mind.

Incense of the Day: Patchouli

Patchouli is a feminine herb ruled by the planet Saturn and associated with the element earth. Magical properties of patchouli include money, fertility, and lust.

With it’s rich, earthy smell, patchouli is often used in money and prosperity spells. Place patchouli around the base of green candles, use in fertility talismans, and add to love sachets and mixtures. It can also be used to attract a lover and promote lust.
