PLEASE NOTE: As of yesterday, I’ve begun to deviate from the information found in Llewellyn’s Yearly Magical Almanac (which I once relied on heavily). As I’ve learned more about color and herb magic, I’ve found that I don’t always agree with the almanac’s selections for color and incense of the day.

Instead, I’ll be choosing color, incense, and crystal of the day based on the current day’s ruling planet and influences – in a way that appeals more to me personally. Sometimes these choices will be the same as those found in the almanac, and sometimes not.

Here are your witchy correspondences for Friday, January 10, 2025:

Color of the Day: Pink
Crystal of the Day: Kunzite
Incense of the Day: Apple Blossom

Moon of the Day: Waxing Gemini

Friday is ruled by Venus. Magical influences include love, friendship, reconciliation, and beauty. It’s a great day for a romantic date or to spend time with friends and loved ones.

If you’re performing divination, it’s a good day to ask questions relating to love and close relationships, marriage, and divorce.

Color of the Day: Pink

Pink is associated with today’s ruling planet, Venus. Magical properties of the color pink include love, compassion, and partnership.

Pink also relates to femininity, nurturing, innocence, self-sacrifice, and giving. It’s a positive and cheerful color with a calming effect.

Crystal of the Day: Kunzite

Kunzite is a receptive stone ruled by the planet Venus. Magical properties of kunzite include relaxation, peace, grounding, and love.

Hold or wear kunzite to induce relaxation, release tension, and sooth daily stresses. Like amethyst, kunzite also induces peace. Carry or gaze at the stone to calm anger, nerves, or fear. Kunzite may also be useful for attracting love.

Incense of the Day: Apple Blossom

Apple blossom is a feminine herb related to the element of water and ruled by the planet Venus. Magical properties include love and healing.

Apple blossoms have long been used in love spells. Dried flowers can be added to love sachets, brews, and incenses. They can also be infused in pink wax, strained out, and made into candles used to attract love into your life.

If you don’t have dried apple blossoms to burn as incense today, burn an apple-scented stick or cone incense instead.
