Monday is ruled by the Moon. Magical influences include peace, sleep, healing, compassion, friends, psychic awareness, purification, and fertility.

Color of the Day: Silver

Color magic uses various hues to influence energy. Silver is often associated with the Goddess, the moon, and dreams.

Silver is a balancing and harmonizing color. It also symbolizes change, learning, and fertility.

Crystal of the Day: Moonstone

I choose the crystal of the day based on the day’s energy, ruling planet, and associated color. Today is perfect to work with moonstone, a receptive stone ruled by the moon.

Magical properties of moonstone include love, divination, psychism, sleep, gardening, protection, youth, and dieting. Some believe moonstone is more magically potent during the waxing moon and less during the waning moon.

Incense of the Day: Hyssop

Hyssop is one of the most widely-used purification herbs in magic. It’s magical properties include protection and purification.

Common uses of hyssop include adding to baths in sachets, infusing the herb and sprinkling on objects or people to cleanse them, and hanging bunches in the home to purge it of evil and negativity.

Moon of the Day: Waxing Aries

The Moon enters the second quarter today at 6:56 PM EST.

The waxing moon (the time from the new moon til the full moon) is an ideal time for magic to draw things towards you.

Moon in Aries is good for starting things, but lacks staying power. Things occur rapidly, but quickly pass. People tend to be argumentative and assertive.

Magic of the Day: Purification, Peace & Dreams

Today’s energy promotes purification (of self and space), peace, and dreams. Here are some of the ways I’m connecting with the energy of the day:

Wearing moonstone jewelry and silver-colored clothing

Lighting silver candles on my altar for morning meditation and any spell work I perform today (when it fits with my intentions)
Taking a ritual purification bath while burning hyssop incense (if hyssop essential oil is available, you can put some directly into the bath water or place some dried herb in a bath sachet)
Burning hyssop incense in all rooms of my home while visualizing the smoke purifying the space

Placing a moonstone under my pillow before bed to promote peaceful sleep and dreams (moonstone beads can also be worn to bed for the same purpose)
Meditating under the moonlight and journaling in silver ink, recording the thoughts my intuition reveals to me

Due to the moon’s influence, today is a great time to perform magic to attract peaceful and/or prophetic dreams. Spell work to encourage peaceful surroundings and to purify yourself and your space is also appropriate.
