Friday is ruled by Venus. Magical influences include love, friendship, reconciliation, and beauty. It’s a great day to spend time with friends and romantic partners. Have a date night!
Color of the Day: Rose
Color magic uses various hues to influence energy. Rose is often associated with the maiden, romance, and friendship.
As a hue of pink, rose is also a color of nurturing, love, femininity, and innocence. It’s a positive and cheerful color that produces a calming effect.
Crystal of the Day: Rose Quartz
I choose the crystal of the day based on the day’s energy, ruling planet, and associated color. Today is perfect to work with rose quartz, which is a receptive stone used to open the heart chakra.
Magical applications of rose quartz include promoting peace, happiness, and fidelity in established relationships. To attract love, wear a heart-shaped rose quartz.
Incense of the Day: Violet
Magical properties of violet include protection, luck, love, lust, wishes, peace, and healing.
When mixed with lavender flowers, violet flowers are a powerful love stimulant and may also arouse lust.
Moon of the Day: Waxing Aquarius to Pisces
The day begins with the moon in Aquarius, but it moves into Pisces at 10:21 AM EST.
The waxing moon (the time from the new moon til the full moon) is an ideal time for magic to draw things towards you.
Moon in Aquarius is rebellious energy. It’s a time to break habits and make abrupt changes. Personal freedom and individuality is the focus.
When the moon is in Pisces, the focus is on dreaming, nostalgia, intuition, and psychic impressions. It’s a good time for spirituality or philanthropic activities.
Magic of the Day: Love & Lust
Today’s energy promotes attracting love and lust into your life (or strengthening the love you already have). Here are some ways I’m connecting to the energy of the day:
- Wearing a rose quartz necklace and rose-colored clothing
- Wearing a natural perfume made from a combination of lavender and violet leaf oils diluted in carrier oil (I like sweet almond or jojoba for this purpose)
- Carrying a sachet filled with lavender flowers and violet flowers empowered with loving, peaceful intentions (Could also be used to attract love to you)
- Lighting pink candles on my altar while meditating and focusing on increasing loving feelings
- Lighting pink candles while having dinner with my partner
- Burning violet incense throughout the day and during my morning meditations – focusing on embodying a loving, peaceful vibe
- Burning violet incense while spending time with my partner in the evening
Due to the waxing moon, it’s a great day to perform spells that attract love into your life. If you don’t desire a new lover, focus on self-love, strengthening or attracting friendships, or strengthening the love in your current relationship.
