I love purple days (my favorite color)!

Thursday is ruled by Jupiter. Magical influences include expansion, money, prosperity, and generosity. It’s a great day to donate to charity or help others in need if you’re able.

Color of the Day: Purple

Color magic uses various hues to influence energy. Purple is often associated with wisdom, emotions, power, exorcism, and healing.

Spiritual properties have long been connected to the color purple. We often think of purple as the color of royalty, and it was the imperial color of ancient Rome. The Greek priests at Eleusis also wore purple or violet robes

Crystal of the Day: Amethyst

I choose the crystal of the day based on the day’s energy, ruling planet, and associated color. Amethyst is a receptive stone ruled by Jupiter and Neptune.

Magical properties of Amethyst include dreams, overcoming alcoholism, healing, psychism, peace, love, protection against thieves, courage and happiness. It’s a spiritual stone with no negative associations, and is often called the “stone of peace.”

Amethyst calms fears, raises hope, and lifts the spirit. It’s a great stone to work with in times of stress or emotional instability. This is my favorite crystal and I use it often to help in times of stress or uncertainty. Holding it in your hand or wearing against your skin has a soothing, calming effect on the spirit.

Incense of the Day: Clove

Magical properties of clove include protection, exorcism, love, money.

Burned as incense, clove attracts money, drives away hostile and negative forces, produces spiritual vibrations, and purifies a space.

Moon of the Day: Waxing Aquarius

The waxing moon (the time from the new moon til the full moon) is an ideal time for magic to draw things towards you.

Moon in Aquarius is rebellious energy. It’s a time to break habits and make abrupt changes. Personal freedom and individuality is the focus.

Magic of the Day: Money Spell

Today’s energy promotes attracting money, power, prosperity, and abundance into your life. Here’s a simple spell I’m performing today to attract a specific amount of money.

Supplies:

Green candle (taper or chime)
Clove essential oil (diluted in carrier oil)

Clove incense
Whole cloves, optional

Instructions:

Carve symbols of money (such as dollar signs) or an amount of money (such as $1,000) into the green taper or chime candle. While carving, visualize yourself already having the amount of money you want to attract.
NOTE: I find money spells work best when I have an exact amount in mind. Just make sure it’s a believable amount. If you don’t believe you could possibly attract a million bucks, start with something smaller – like $100 or $1,000. You must believe it to manifest it.
Anoint the carved candle with a few drops of clove essential oil diluted in a carrier oil (sweet almond, jojoba, olive oil, etc). Maintain your focus on the amount of money you desire while applying the oil.
Place the candle in a holder and light it. Light the clove incense nearby. Ring the candle with empowered whole cloves, if desired.

Sit before the candle and incense. Visualize checking your bank account or receiving a check for the exact amount of money you’re attracting. Imagine that it’s already yours. Hold the picture in your mind as long as possible, and make it as vivid as possible.
You may also want to raise energy by affirming while you visualize. I like to use two or three short phrases that get directly to the point, such as “$1,000 is mine. I have $1,000 in the bank” – something to that effect. Chant the words over and over while you visualize.
Once you’re ready, release the energy into the universe. Know that it’s already done and the money is yours.

Allow the candle to burn all the way down, then dispose of any leftover wax and the dried cloves. Repeat this spell daily during the waxing moon, if desired – or until the money appears.
